Welcome to Notlob Music

With an emphesis on Americana / roots and etherial folk music, Notlob House Concerts produces unique musical artists in unusual and often unexpected environments. The Spring / Summer 2007 series will be held at the Loring-Greenough House - http://www.lghouse.org. Built in 1760, it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and has been a historic house museum since 1926. Its beautiful period decor and intimate size make it an ideal setting for acoustic music.

Sometymes Why is a mesmerizing trio of modern-day sirens. Their vocal intesity, sparse arrangements, and passionate lyricism whirl into the the air and cut a cyclone's path through the heart. Aoife, Ruth and Kristin have honed their recipe for ruthless tenderness with utter disregard for conformity or convention. Their songs tell the secret tales of our own lives and beg us to believe in the power of revelation.

Transporation: Parking is limited to 12 vehicles, the gates will be closed when its lot is full. There is a public lot behind Blanchard’s liquors, one block away. MBTA: Take #39 bus from either Back Bay Station or Forest Hills Station to Monument stop, directly in front of the Loring-Greenough House, at the intersections of Centre and South Streets.
