Berklee Internet Radio Network

Be it in the string department on the 5th floor of 1140 or in the various clubs throughout Boston/Cambridge, there is quite a thriving bluegrass community full of great musicians and eager listeners here in Beantown. On our show, we'll feature favorite bluegrass tunes ranging in styles from traditional to recent contemporary bluegrass that pushes the genre's boundaries to the limits. Throughout, we'll also look at related styles or sub-genres of bluegrass such as folk, acoustic, Americana, and Celtic/Irish fiddling. Packed with great tunes, lots of humor, bits of obscure bluegrass factoids - and the occasional guest or performer - taking a break in "The Bluegrass Lounge" will never disappoint and will always offer the refreshing pick-up that one would expect from a break in a lounge. So grab a cup of strong coffee, get your banjo out, and jam along with us!

Thanks, gents, for keeping that high lonesome sound alive!
