America's leading interpreter of Scottish fiddle music is stopping on her national CD tour to perform in two venerable landmarks in two of northern New England's most picturesque towns. Both towns hosted Hanneke over a decade ago when she started her education at Boston's Berklee College of Music. She has since made Boston her home and has been touring extensively throughout the world including extended stays in China and Africa.
The former National Junior Scottish Fiddle Champ brings with her famed cellist and husband, Mike Block, who is a member of Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Project and was featured on Mark O'Connor's highly acclaimed Appalachian Waltz album. Accompanying them is Hanneke's long time guitarist, Christopher Lewis.
