Gainesville Fights Back!

Remember when the public in PUBLIC radio had a voice in how stations were run and the programming reflected their collective taste, not what some corporate media consultant spoon fed station management? The good citizens of Gainsville, Florida sure do. For the past two years they have been fighting the commercialization / homogenization / NPRization / single-formatting / stripping of music programs (sound familiar?) from their radio station, WUFT. They took action and ran a full page ad in their city newspaper.

Three cheers for the good citizens of Gainesville!

Gainesville Fights Back

This full-page ad ran in the the first section of the Gainesville Sun Thursday.
