It Takes a Community to Launch a New Coffeehouse

This Friday we launch a brand new music venue, and cannot succeed without your help! In the words of Pete Seeger, YOU are the yeast that makes the bread rise!
* We have the facility (wood-walled and floored 90 seat capacity hall and a 250 seat sanctuary)
* We have the core production team (a few more good volunteers would be nice)
* We have the artists
* ALL WE NEED NOW IS COMMUNITY SUPPORT!

Boston music patrons embrace all music genres, from classical to experimental and everything in between. Starting in November, patrons will have the opportunity to attend three presentations by the new Eliot Street Coffeehouse at the First Church in Jamaica Plain, Unitarian-Univeralist, located at 6 Eliot Street.

The coffeehouse is the result of a merger of Janna Maria Fröhlich's “Eliot Street Soirée” series and Jeff Boudreau’s “notloB Parlour Concerts”, presented since 2006 across the monument at the Loring-Greenough House.

The three-concert Fall season starts THIS FRIDAY
Friday, November 1 - FELLSWATER CD RELEASE PARTY, w/ ELIZABETH & BEN ANDERSON
Friday, November 22 - THE BOMBADILS w/ CAT AND THE MOON
Tuesday, December 3, 2-4pm, Darol Anger live in studio, Ken Field's "The New Edge", WMBR
Saturday, December 7, A TRIO OF BERKLEE STRING QUARTETS orchestrated by Darol Anger
...and if all goes well the plan is to continue in January, in both the beautiful wood-walled and floored (dance concerts, anyone?) parish hall and the gorgeous sanctuary.

But we cannot do it alone, we need community support. Here's what you can do:

1 - LEVERAGE SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE INTERNETS
*Like our page - https://www.facebook.com/6EliotStreet - and share it with friends. Can we get to 200 "likes" before our first concert 11/1?
*Click "going" to this event, to show support and indicate you have done #1 and are inclined to do #2 &/or #3.
*INVITE YOUR FRIENDS TO THIS EVENT - to do so you will need to have "host" status, send a PM to Jeff Boudreau or Janna Frolich and we will gladly oblige.
*SPREAD THE WORD - Download this event's poster and put it up in your neighborhood, music shops, book shops, libraries, office, etc. Post this event URL-https://www.facebook.com/events/1405965179638125/ - add a few embellishing words to your Facebook wall or Twitter feed.
*If you have a blog, blog about it.
*If you have a radio program, mention it and the upcoming shows.
*If you subscribe to a listserv or have a newsletter/mailing list, share with friends and neighbors.

Remember, this is social media, you do not need to live in the greater Boston area to share the news with your Boston area friends!

2 - BUY TICKETS to the 11/1 and 11/22 concerts - http://www.brownpapertickets.com/ Tickets to the 12/7 concert will be available at the 11/1 coffeehouse and soon online at BPT.

3 - VOLUNTEER - We need help at concerts (box office, refreshments, set-up) and between concerts (street team, publicity). Email eliotstreetcoffeehouse@gmail.com
