Phil Ochs Nights, November 22-24

Robyn Ochs, Phil's niece,  asked me to spread the word about a Phil Ochs night at the Larz Anderson Automobile Museum in Brookline on November 22. But knowing these tours are not one night stands I checked Sister Sonny's website and found there are not one, not two but three nights.

As of this writing, the Larz Anderson site reads

Friday, November 22, 2013  Doors open at 7:30pm    Phil Ochs Song Night $20 in advance / $25 day-of   The long awaited Phil Ochs Song Night once again rolls into the Larz Anderson Auto Museum as a part of the Carriage House Concert Series*. The Phil Ochs song night commemorates his life and music while also highlighting new talents making music in the spirit that Phil made his music. - See more at: http://larzanderson.org/events/special-events/phil-ochs-song-night/#sthash.t3P15wfc.dpuf

The link to the Stone Soup is inoperative.
The Wellfleet Preservation Hall does not list the concert.

None of the three sites list who the musicians will be. The usual suspects for Massachusetts concerts in the past have included Greg Greenway, Pat Wictor, Kim and Reggie Harris and Magpie. Watch the websites and/or contact the venues for more information.

Thank you, sister Sonny and neice Robyn for keeping Phil Ochs' memory alive.

* If the Carriage House Concert Series is back, that is news to me, a former volunteer. It is the only non-automobile-related concert on its website. The series went under about six years ago, primarily due to poor publicity. If it is back it should take a lesson from its past to improve.
